TICKETS
When you book online, you’ll receive an email confirmation. If you’ve chosen the Print At Home option, your tickets will be sent to your inbox, and you won’t need to collect them at the box office. If you’ve chosen the Collect at Box Office option, your tickets will be available from 6pm on the day of the show. To collect them, you’ll need to provide your full name, order number, or email confirmation.
Concessions are available for people over 65, those aged 26 and under, students, and those who are unwaged, including individuals on parental leave. If you’ve purchased a concessionary ticket, you may be asked for proof of eligibility.
All ticket prices, discounts, and offers are subject to availability and may be changed or withdrawn at any time. The Yard reserves the right to introduce new price types or promotional offers, but these will not apply retroactively to tickets already purchased. Any discount codes or promotions can only be redeemed online and are not available at the box office.
Any personal data collected during the booking process is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available on our website.
The Yard Theatre reserves the right to make alterations to an advertised programme rendered necessary by unavoidable causes.
NO EMPTY SEATS
£5 unsold tickets are available to people aged 27 and under on the night of a performance. All you need to do is arrive 45 minutes before the show is due to start with proof of your age, at which point you can purchase a ticket for £5, as long as there are unsold tickets available.
EXCHANGES & REFUNDS
All tickets (including booking fees) are strictly non-refundable. In some circumstances, tickets can be returned for a credit voucher, valid for one year, or exchanged for another performance.
In the event of a cancellation, rescheduling, or a show-stop (when a performance is stopped partway through), all bookers will be contacted by The Yard and offered the choice to exchange their tickets for another performance or receive a full refund. A refund will be issued if there are no available tickets or if the booker is not able to attend another performance.
We may be able to exchange your ticket for another performance of the same production if at least 24 hours’ notice is given before the start time. All ticket exchanges incur a £2.50 fee. The difference must be paid along with the exchange fee. If the new performance has a lower ticket price, no refund will be issued for the difference, and only the £2.50 fee will be charged. Exchanges are subject to availability, and latecomers will not be eligible for exchanges.
Pre-ordered food and drink are non-refundable unless the performance is cancelled or rescheduled, in which case customers will be given the option to transfer their order to another performance or receive a refund.
BOOKING FEE
All ticket purchases made for events at The Yard Theatre are subject to a non-refundable booking fee. This fee is applied to cover administrative costs associated with processing and managing ticket reservations.
The booking fee is £2.50 for online and in-person transactions and £3.50 for transactions taken via phone by our box office, and is clearly stated at the time of booking. Customers are advised to review the booking details for the specific event for accurate fee information.
The booking fee is payable in addition to the ticket price and must be settled at the time of the booking transaction. Failure to complete payment for the booking fee may result in the cancellation of the reservation.
Booking fees are non-transferable and cannot be applied to future reservations, exchanges, or other transactions.
The booking fee is non-refundable. However, in the rare case of an event cancellation, The Yard Theatre will initiate a full refund of the ticket price, including the booking fee, to the original payment method used for the transaction.
The Yard Theatre reserves the right to modify these booking fee terms and conditions at its discretion. Any changes will be communicated through the official website and other appropriate channels.
AGE GUIDANCE
Some events may have age restrictions, so please check before purchasing to ensure suitability. Age guidance information will be listed on our website when available. For further details, email marketing@theyardtheatre.co.uk.
LATECOMERS & RE-ENTRY
Latecomers may be admitted at a suitable break in the performance, subject to the discretion of the artist and production team. If there is no appropriate moment for entry, latecomers may be refused admission. Due to the intimate nature of our auditorium, late entry may involve crossing in front of the stage. In these cases, no refunds or exchanges will be offered.
If you leave the auditorium during the performance, re-entry will only be allowed at an appropriate moment. If no such moment exists, you may not be readmitted, and no refund or exchange will be given.
The Yard reserves the right to refuse admission or take necessary action to ensure the safety, comfort, and security of all audience members.
FOOD & DRINK
Drinks are permitted in the auditorium, but food is not. Only food purchased on the premises may be consumed in the bar. Read more about our food and drink offerings on our website.
FILMING & PHOTOGRAPHY
Filming and photography inside the auditorium are not permitted unless otherwise stated.
YARD CARD MEMBERSHIP
The Yard Card is valid indefinitely unless terminated due to misuse.
Members can claim one free ticket after purchasing tickets for three separate shows. This free ticket offer excludes balcony seats, may not apply to all performances, and cannot be combined with other ticket offers. Members also receive 10% off food and drinks at The Yard, 10% off food at Burnt Umber, and 15% off food and drinks at Crate Brewery (Sunday to Thursday only).
To claim benefits, members must present their Yard Card digital wallet or QR code. Discounts at Crate and Burnt Umber are subject to their own terms. Yard Card benefits and promotions may not apply to all events, and members must not share any codes or vouchers externally. The Yard reserves the right to deny service, amend benefits, or terminate memberships. The Yard Card is non-transferable.
